I, M Sgt Lewis J. HOLMES, AF 6237690, 3750th Air Installations Sq., Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, make this statement of my own free will.

S Sgt S.R. HORN and I have been acquainted since 1952. S Sgt HORN and myself have served to-gether twice during my military career. Once at Port Sill, Oklahoma and once in the Phillipines [sic]. I served with HORN from 1932 to 1933 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and from 1934 to 1935 in the Phillipines [sic]. On 3 May 1952 I saw Horn and talked to him for a short time. He appeared to be the same as when I had served with him.

It is my opinion that HORN is a very truthful person. I say this because of past experiences while serving with him. When Horn told a person something that person could be assured that it was the truth. He performed his military duties in an excellent manner.

I believe that HORN was retired because of bad knees.
