01:27:18 - 03:20:18 -- PICTURES OF THE WEEK: Above, top two pictures, from the August, 1975 issue of Dell Comics UFO Flying Saucers comic. Although not the "last official UFO case" claimed in the intro, the experience of Roman Lupton on January 17, 1969, is the last report evaluated as "unidentified" in the files of Project Blue Book -- the 21-year official Air Force investigatory project into the phenomenon. Above, picture 3, a news report published in the January 18, 1969 edition of the Newport Daily Press. Above, following, the declassified file on Lupton's experience, which included a report made by Lupton to NICAP -- a citizens group also investigating the phenomenon. The file included a five-page typewritten report by Lupton describing his experience. Bottom image, the Project Blue Book summary card listing the craft in the incident as "unidentified" -- but calling it likely that what Lupton saw was "a helicopter with an unusual lighting system", along with the possibility that it was "an aerial advertiser, the goodyear blimp, or an aircraft doing infra-red photography."
